Eternal Garden

Sometimes,
when all the chains
of consciousness are broken,
and I cross the threshold
of sweet slumber,
I hear you whisper
 my name;

Calling me
to join you on a passage
beyond the boundaries of life,
past the limitations of time,
where we will walk together
through eternal gardens
and gaze across the heavens
to forever;

As we share
these treasured moments,
bathed in the grace of His light,
I rejoice in the peace surrounding us,
knowing, you walk
in the company of angels;
joy and contentment
are now the faithful
companions of your heart
with the trials and tribulations
of the mortal world
left behind.

 Guiding me
through this realm of miracles,
you speak
with the wisdom of the ages,
truth shining
in your brown eyes,
A knowing,
present in your smile.
filling my heart with
the promise of hope.

Wrapped in the care
of your gentle spirit
I find the strength
to replace the shackles
of my deepest fears and doubts
with a new embrace of faith.
I am blessed with the
acceptance of the many lessons
left for me to attend;
willing to follow your example
of living my life with an open heart 
until I am worthy to reside
here with you.

With every step
of our glorious journey
you leave the tender petals
of divine love
strewn along our path;
dusted with compassion
for every soul,
like the blossoms of kindness
you offered to others
throughout your life.

And as the golden light
of a new day dawns
I know, I must take my leave;
not wanting to go,
you offer flowers ;
a familiar token of our bond,
never to be broken,
a fragrant reminder
you will wait for me 
in your eternal garden
of everlasting love.
